The Burial Committee oversees “matters relating to death, burial and the burial ground” on behalf of the meeting.  The Burial Committee was established in 2010 on the recommendation of the ad hoc committee on burial, whose Report and Recommendations can be found here.  The five-member committee includes liaisons from Care & Counsel, Ministry & Worship and Grounds Committees and two Burial Ground Caretakers.

The Mt. Toby Friends Burial Ground is southeast of the meetinghouse.  Many different types of disposition are possible, including burial of cremated remains, with or without an urn; scattering of cremated remains; and whole body burial, with or without a casket. For eligibility, see Appendix II: Guidelines for the Use of the Burial Ground in the Handbook
