At the center of the Mt Toby community is our weekly Meeting for Worship. Believing that every human being shares in the universal Light, we join together each Sunday to create an expectant silence where the Spirit may enter.  Our Meeting is “unprogrammed,” which means that there is no formal order of worship, but those who are moved by the Spirit can speak. Thus we all are ministers as well as attenders.

Mount Toby Friends Meeting is a welcoming and affirming faith community with members from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. We come from many different religious backgrounds, including lifelong Quakers, Protestants, Catholics, Buddhists, Jews, Pagans, and those with no previous affiliation.

Worship begins at 10 a.m. and lasts about an hour followed by introductions and sharing.  After the rise of meeting there is time for greeting and fellowship.  On some Sundays meetings are held after fellowship on topics of interest to Friends and to conduct the business of the meeting. The Meetinghouse opens at 9:30 a.m. for those who wish to arrive early.

Our Meetinghouse is fully handicap-accessible. The Meeting Room, shown in the photo below, is equipped with an amplification system for those who need hearing assistance.
